A little direction starts with you

You are a creative being.

Leave the knowledge work to AI. It’s great at recognising patterns. But it will never see the way you do.

Follow one idea

Light makes the room.

One photograph. A new way of seeing.

01 / Notice

Start with what
catches your eye.

What you’re drawn to, what you notice; anything that makes you curious. Upload a photograph, a screenshot or a sketch.

Here, a patch of sunlight becomes a starting point.

02 / Understand & explore

See the ideas
behind the image.

Understand its context: what shaped it and why it matters. Discover related concepts, or encounter an opposing perspective.

“The photograph isolates a patch of sunlight crossing the coffers, making time visible against a repeated architectural pattern.”

03 / Make connections

Let one idea
lead to another.

Each connection you explore can become a new starting point, turning your initial idea into an expanding tree.

Add notes, draw your own connections and return to the paths you want to follow.

04 / Find your point of view

Read your
own stars.

Over time, your interests form constellations. Through them, Telltaste gets to know you.

Your written taste profile helps you recognise the ideas you return to, and what makes your perspective your own.

You are drawn to places that make an ordinary action feel considered. Across these maps, an entrance becomes somewhere to pause, daylight gives a room its character, and a joint makes the act of building visible.

A home for your ideas.

A place where they can linger until you’re ready to return, grow as you brainstorm, and develop as you share them with your peers.

Your point of view matters

Find your own direction.

In a design media landscape that’s crowded, cluttered and too concerned with what’s skin deep, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and lose your own voice — especially around louder ones.

Telltaste helps you navigate your ideas and viewpoints, articulate your taste, and turn that deeper understanding into a clear design direction and a distinctive brand identity.

Allowances count images and connections explored with AI.
Saving images, adding notes and reopening results don’t use your allowance.

A few things you might wonder.

What can I bring into Telltaste?

Start with a JPEG, PNG or WebP image. You can add your own notes and a source link, keep images in your Collection, and place them on maps.

How does the AI help?

When you choose Reveal context, AI reads your image and researches ideas and related images using public sources. You decide which connections to follow. Identification and context can be imperfect; source links let you look closer. Your written taste profile is generated separately from the explorations you include.

How much can I explore?

The Free plan includes 5 starting-point AI explorations and 16 connection explorations in total per calendar month. They reset on the first of the month at 00:00 UTC, with no rollover. Uploading images, adding notes and reopening saved results don’t use those exploration slots. Premium is coming soon, with 20 starting-point explorations and 64 connections.

Are my maps private?

Your workspace is private to your account. When you choose to share a map, Telltaste creates a separate copy. Anyone with its link can view it, and you can enable comments by name. You can update the shared copy or revoke its link.
